In 1990, Lupe started as a cashier at a restaurant in the Airport and later became the manager of the popular coffee shop located inside of the San Francisco International Airport. In 2013, Lupe Issa became the proud owner of Marina's Cafe.

Like Lupe, George learned the service industry from an entry-level position. As a bar/dining room waiter on a cruise ship and later at a restaurant, George worked hard and learned firsthand the value of providing excellent customer service. Now, George is Marina's finance person and ensures that Marina's Café continues to be profitable. Under his expertise, Marina's Café's profits saw an average of 10% increase each year while expenses have remained consistent, all without sacrificing quality and customer service.
